Lubbock is the place I’ve spent the last 3 years of my life. When I first moved here from Dallas, it was a huge culture shock. I was used to a fun and hustling, bustling city and then Lubbock was just….bleh. Over the years though, I’ve grown to really love Lubbock. It’s growing SO MUCH but it’s still small to where I can get anywhere in 15 mins at most. This place has my heart now! [Read more…]
Happy Wednesday y’all! It’s been a whirlwind of a week so far but I’m back in Lubbock and trying to get on track with life! Last weekend, Josh and I took a trip for a fun getaway weekend in Chicago. We were frozen the whole time but we absolutely loved the city and adored our weekend. About a month before, I asked on IG for y’all to send me your Chicago recommendations and I received SO many lovely recs. We tried to make it to just about all of them! So for today’s post I thought it would be fun to round up everything we did in case you’re wanting to go to Chicago and need some fun ideas on what to do. [Read more…]
Hey friends! I am finally finally getting around to this Toas travel guide, and I’m super pumped about it! Josh and I got to go on a sponsored trip to Taos, New Mexico, a few weeks ago and had the most incredible time. We truly got to experience winter life in Taos for a weekend and it was so peaceful. We went with a fun group too which is always a plus! I wanted to share some photos and a little bit about each day with y’all. So, without further ado, here’s my Taos travel guide! [Read more…]
We’re halfway through the week and I’m counting down until I’m on a plane to Dallas, Friday! But until then, I’ve been daydreaming about my little getaway last weekend to Marfa, Texas.
My roommate and I got so many messages about our trip so I wanted to share EVERYTHING we did, a little about Marfa, and what we thought about it! [Read more…]
Say hello to my favorite top at the moment!!! When I first started seeing the embroidery trend, I was a little skeptical to try it. I thought it was super cute, but not my style. When I saw this one I really loved the ruffles and decided to give it a go. Welp, I’m converted. Haha. I LOVE this top so much. It’s my go-to when Josh calls me and says to meet him for dinner or that we’re going out. I just love how a simple embroidered pattern can add so much to a plain button up shirt. I like it paired best with denim bottoms and then any kind of shoe whether casual or dressed up. [Read more…]
Happy Monday sweet friends! I had a crazy busy weekend filled with my best girlfriends. I loved it but am ready to hit the books this week and get on top of things. [Read more…]
Hey y’all, happy Monday!
A couple things here….
- Do you see the new site!? What do yall think!? I’ve put a lot of thought into a new design for this blog and it’s amazing to see it live and all together. I have a wide variety of style but my go-to is a bright, feminine, look. I wanted my site to represent that and I loooove how it turned out.
- I took last week off from the blog…. As most of y’all know, I was in New Orleans and while I had plenty of time to write posts and have them up, I chose not to. This blog consumes so much of me and while I absolutely love the crap out of it, I’ve been drained. Between school, working a side job, and other obligations in my life while still putting in 15+ hours a week into this blog I’ve been in desperate need for a break. I took this last week to sleep, not do anything, and enjoy myself and detox from the whole world. I feel so much happier, refreshed, and ready to write again. I hope yall understand!
- Lastly, If you’re on Instagram, and haven’t downloaded the new Liketoknow.it app, you must do it now! I shared this post all about Liketoknow.it and they launched a new app where you can screenshot my photos and all the details will pop up for you in the app, making it SUPER easy to shop everything immediately. (That’s what the little icon in the bottom right corner is!)
I’m counting down the days and seconds until this Friday! I get a full week of relaxation and I am SO pumped. A week from today, Josh and I will be in NOLA for Spring Break. We are extremely excited. I’ve been to Baton Rouge before when I was touring LSU a few years ago, but never to New Orleans…. and neither has Josh. [Read more…]
Hey y’all! It feels so awesome to be home. I drove back to Dallas Saturday morning and will be here for a little over two weeks! It’s always so fun to wake up in my old room to a house full of family and pets. Coco loves being in Dallas too. I secretly think she’s like her mom and craves the city life 😉 [Read more…]
