Happy Monday, lovelies! It’s nice to be back on the blog today. Last week, I only got two posts up. I was stressing about my Friday post but just started a small side job and had a lot going on and realized one of my resolutions was to stop stressing so much. Instead, I relaxed, cooked myself dinner, and finished my to-do list. It was refreshing to for once, just realize I’m not going to have a post up in time and that it’s ok. It’s not the end of the world and I am slowly teaching myself that. Anyways, I’m refreshed and ready to hit the rest of January back with three posts a week per usual. I shared in my Instagram story that I recently bought huge studio lights and I set them up this weekend to shoot a skincare post and a youtube video. These lights make all the difference and I love them!! It’s great for when I don’t have gorgeous natural lighting like I did in this post.
These photos were back in Dallas and I shot them at golden hour in the morning. I HAD to share the cutest checkered coat that’s LESS THAN $30 as well as this soft pink, silky top. Both together were just an array of what I want my whole wardrobe (in my dream life) to be. This coat runs a bit small so go up a size. As far as material, it feels great and is super warm. Black and white obviously goes with everything so this checkered coat is versatile for all your winter looks. As far as my top, this dreamy little thing is so soft and flattering. The silk texture wraps around and ties in the front, which creates the most flattering look. You can’t tell, but it’s long sleeve. Such a stunning top for this year (& a lovely Valentine’s look!!).
To pull this look together I paired my all time favorite staple heeled black booties (they have a gold heel, hello beauties!!) and my all time favorite choker. When I was home, my mom saw this on me, and wanted to borrow it she loved it so much. She wore on NYE and looked fabulous so it looks so great for all ages.
That’s it for today’s post! Have a wonderful Monday! xx
