Work Wear for the Transition to Fall

Work Wear | AMS Blog

TGIF! I am so thankful it’s the weekend. This week was definitely stressful and next week will be another stressful one as well. This 18 hours is no joke! Definitely DON’T recommend haha. I can’t wait to sleep, do nothing, relax, and sleep more. 😉

While I quit my job in August, and don’t necessarily go ‘into’ work anymore, I still love the whole work wear category. If I was going into an office, I probably wouldn’t look forward to it too much, but if I was dressing up and using my work wear clothes it would be a little more bearable! Work wear definitely varies from what your dress code is, and of course the season. In the summer I’m usually wearing a flowy, breezy, short sleeve dress. In the winter you can catch me in jeans, a turtleneck, and a cute trench coat. But…. Fall can be a little tricky at first. Especially if you live in Texas. Fall for us is pretty much summer just with a breeze. But I can’t wear my neon yellow dress when there are pumpkin spice lattes and burgundy tops everywhere!!! So, I opt for the sleeveless dress. What makes this dress work appropriate since it is sleeveless, is the turtleneck. It covers everything yet still allows you to breathe. I could never wear this in the middle of summer as the turtleneck would probably suffocate me along with the 200 degree weather. So, the second Fall comes around and I feel a breeze, I whip these dresses out!

Transition to Fall: Work Dresses

Nordstrom has a fabulous section for work appropriate clothes, and is what I usually turn to. They have options for almost every price point as well, which is why I love them. Though, I think I found y’alls new, work wear, go-to. All For Color was one of my favorite summer shops for their prints and bright colors. They still keep the colors going but have toned down options that are fun for Fall. I think it’s great because it is so easy to opt for an all back dress in the fall but All For Color really encourages you to still go for colors and prints even when the weather gets gloomy. They also have a tab for Sloane Ranger that has perfect work, weekend, and everything in between bags!

Whether you’re in an office 8-5 or in class all day (like me!) Work wear is something that I think every women needs a few pieces of, you never know when you will need it!

Thanks for reading and have a safe and blessed weekend! xx

This dress is gorgeous on you! It works perfectly against your skin tone and with your beautiful hair color. I also love how you paired it with neutral accessories. Totally chic!
