I’m officially OVER halfway through 75 Hard! I’ve been sharing updates and check-ins on IG but wanted to do an in depth version here with more stats for those interested.
This has been extremely challenging some days but I’m feeling SO great. I’ll do an official thoughts post and why I did this once I’m done with the challenge!
The Rules-
- Stick to a diet.
- Drink a gallon of water every day.
- No cheat meals or alcohol for the full 75 days consecutively.
- Exercise twice a day for 45 minutes each time, with at least one session happening outside.
- Read 10 pages of a book every day.
- Take a progress picture every day.
What I’m eating:
For my diet I chose to do a ‘whole’ foods diet prioritizing protein, low-ish carb and watching my sugar intake. There’s a lot of blurred lines and I can’t give you guys like a specific ‘can’t eat this, eat that’ type of diet. But this is what works for our lifestyle.
We haven’t had a sip of alcohol and most of our meals consist of ground turkey or chicken, rice, and vegetables. For breakfast, I switch between eggs or overnight oats. For a “dessert” I eat apples and peanut butter or yogurt.
I still have a morning latte with honey as sweetener and drink a gallon of water EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.
Workouts:
Currently doing Madeline Moves weekly moves program. I start with an incline walk or I run the first 15 minutes before doing her 30 min workout. I love that it walks me through a workout and gives me specifics as well as targeted body days. I go to the gym in the morning typically and walk in the afternoons with Ezra. On Sunday’s I walk twice and the few times I have been sick, I take the days to walk twice as well.
Reading:
Reading Atomic Habits now. I read The Courage to be Disliked first but I DID NOT enjoy it.
Progress:
We don’t have a scale in our house anymore but last I had weighed myself was last September (2023) and I was 176 pounds. I started January 15 (no clue what weight but have a feeling I was the same if not a couple pounds heavier after the holidays)
I was at the Doctor for a routine checkup February 14 (30 days in) and weighed 169 pounds. Assuming I’ve lost 8-10 pounds since starting. I was also a size 10 in jeans and I’m now fitting into a size 6 (still a bit tight) and comfortably in an 8. Here are my before and afters halfway through:
35 more days to go from here! Can’t wait to see the final results!
Linking a few favorites I use daily!
