It’s totally hot chocolate season, y’all! I love the month of December SO much. Since this year, I’ve gone dairy free and have really tried to switch things out for healthier options. Therefore, I had to do the same with hot chocolate for this season.
TBH- I think I love the dairy free recipes EVEN more. It’s not too rich or overly sweet. You have to try and tag me if you do!

Ingredients:
- 1 cup oat milk (look for extra creamy options!)
- Dairy-free whipped cream
- Drizze of honey
- 1/4 cup Enjoy life (dairy-free) dark chocolate morsels
- Vegan marshmallows (found at whole foods!)
- Cinnamon and Nutmeg
The perfect decadent recipe for a weekend night at home. I start by heating up about a cup of oat milk on the stove and then add in my chocolate chips to it until melted. I drizzle honey to taste depending on how sweet or unsweet I want it. Add in about a teaspoon of cinnamon and nutmeg ( I always eye measurements) and let simmer for about 3 mins.
Pour into glass and let cool for a second. Top with vegan marshmallows, and oat whipped cream and VOILA! So delicious and dairy free.
Healthy Adaptogen Hot Chocolate
I’ve shared this with y’all on stories quite a few times but this is my go-to healthy hot chocolate treat at night. It has Reishi in it which helps your body de-stress and get ready for bedtime. This packet is DELISH. I do have to add a few things to it since it’s pretty bitter if you just do water like it says.

How to make:
- Pour mix into half a cup of hot water and mix.
- Add in nut milk of choice to add a creamier taste to it.
- Drizzle honey or agave for a bit of sweetness
Those are my two AMAZING but healthy hot chocolate recipes I love to drink. No overly sugary hot cocoa mixes or breaking out due to the dairy. These are so good!
