I figured with Summer creeping near ( I mean, it’s 90 freaking degrees here in Dallas today haha!) I had to share a delicious golden summer smoothie recipe with y’all. I wanted to put together a healthy, antioxidant-filled smoothie that wasn’t your typical strawberry & banana one.
This one features peaches & mangos so make sure you like those fruits! I love me some summer peaches and mango goes so well with them. Mango does have quite a bit of sugar so if you’d rather swap for another fruit, try strawberries or banana.
Overview of ingredients! I get my frozen fruit bags from Trader Joe’s and you can easily swap the yogurt for a dairy free option if you need. The coconut water blends it all together and gives a bit of a sweet taste to it.
I put turmeric in it to add to the ‘golden’ aspect because turmeric has SO many benefits for you. It’s anti-inflammatory and filled with antioxidants. It can’t hurt to add to a smoothie!
- Handful of frozen peaches
- Handful of frozen mango
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tbs greek nonfat yogurt
- 1 cup coconut water
You can customize this however you like! Maybe add some spinach or an avocado to it for more benefits. If you drink a protein smoothie, add vanilla protein powder for more of a ‘peaches and cream’ taste with it. Hope you love it and tag me if you try it! xx
